About Us

Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world. Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 32,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas.  To learn more about the history of Rotary, visit Rotary International's website.

The Chisago Lakes Rotary Club was founded in 1998 by a group of five people from the business community.  Today, membership continues to grow and we welcome anyone who is interested in joining our organization.  Membership in the Rotary Club is a great way to meet people from the local business community.  Members get to hear interesting speakers at the weekly meetings.  In addition, members are given an opportunity to participate in rewarding community service.  The Club holds several fundraising events that support Rotary International and local community and charitable projects, such as:

  • Polio Plus and other Rotary International Initiatives.
  • Enhancement of community parks & trails.
  • Creation of scholarships for local students.
  • Support of local non-profit organizations such as St. Bridget's Catholic Church's "Baby Blanket" program.

In addition, the Club participates in local community events, including the "Celebration of the Lakes," Frank Dusenka's Regional Bass Tournament, and local city celebrations where we have sponsored booths and various other activities.
