Posted: November 2009 Principal Warren Retzlaff of Lakeside Elementary School is pictured with Rotary President Craig Lindstrom and students. Lakeside, the Middle School, and Chisago Lakes Area High School received book donations from the Chisago Lakes Rotary Club. Our Rotary Club donates hundreds of dollars in books to local public school libraries annually in honor of the Rotary guest speakers who present at the Rotary’s weekly meetings. The School District is very grateful for this service club’s donations.

Posted: July 2009 The Chisago Lakes Rotary Club wished our exchange student from Taiwan farewell during our annual lake cruise held in July. Candy returned home after spending a year in the Chisago Lakes Area while staying with three different host families. We really enjoyed the privilege of sponsoring Candy and are looking forward to sponsoring another student in the future.

Posted: June 2009 The Chisago Lakes Rotary Club sponsored its 12th Annual 5-person Scramble Golf Tournament in June. Proceeds from this fundraiser benefitted "Baby Blanket" and various other community projects in the Chisago Lakes Area. Thanks to our sponsors and everyone that participated in this fun event!

Posted: May 2009 The Chisago Lakes Rotary Club participated in the area's clean-up day in May. In conjunction with Bridging, Inc., Rotary Club members collected unneeded furniture to be donated to help families in need. |
