Taste of Chisago Lakes Fundraiser

On Thursday, February 12th the Chisago Lakes Rotary and Chisago Age Well Coalition hosted
the first annual Taste of Chisago Lakes at The Uncommon Loon to kick off Celebration of the
Lakes! Over 100 guests got to taste and vote for their favorite food and beverage from 14
different local businesses. There were 5 categories, and each vendor could submit multiple
entries. Over 40 food and beverage samples to choose from! The food was delectable, the
beverages were delicious, and the desserts were delightful! Guests also enjoyed a Comedian
Magic Show from Alan Smola, followed by games, drawings, and prizes.
The winners of the evening were: The Dirty Sota Pop- Chisago City for best Non-Alcoholic
Beverage; The Stone Inn- Chisago City for best Alcoholic Beverage; Eichten’s Hidden Acres-
Center City for best Appetizer; Center City Swine Circus for best Main Course; and The Tackle
Box- Lindstrom for the best Dessert.
A huge thanks to all the businesses that participated, and donated their products and their time
to this event. Thank you Swedish Gift Shop, Center City Swine Circus, The Tackle Box,
Chisago Lakes Grill, Kenzo’s Famous Hotdogs, China Panda, The Wagon Wheel, Eichten’s
Hidden Acres, Dirty Sota Shop, Jakes on the Lake, Brink’s Market, Pizza Pub, The Stone Inn,
Scooters Coffee, and The Uncommon Loon.
Proceeds from this event will support our Chisago Lakes community through the work of
Chisago Lakes Rotary and The Chisago Age Well Coalition. Thank you to everyone who
participated and helped make this event a huge success.
